Dress Code

In accordance with dress codes of the Golfing Union of Ireland, the Irish Ladies’ Golf Union and the Club Bye-Laws :-

Unacceptable on the Course

Singlets or football shirts
Shirts without collars and/or sleeves
Sweaters without shirts (except turtle / polo-necks)
Caps/hats not worn in the way designed
Trouser legs tucked inside socks
Track, leisure suits or denim
Garments displaying slogans
Trainer shoes or runners
Untailored shorts
Ladies’ sun tops, short shorts or other beach clothes

Note:

  •  Knee length, tailored shorts, skirts and skorts are acceptable
  • Socks must be worn with tailored shorts, skirts or skorts
  • Golf shoes must be worn by everyone aged 14+ playing golf

Unacceptable in the Clubhouse


Any type of footwear worn on the course 

Gentlemen wearing shorts anywhere in the Main Clubhouse

Smart denim jeans may be worn in the clubhouse 

On Saturday evenings after 7.30pm Ladies may not wear golf clothes in the Lounge and Dining Room, or the Longmore Room when used as an extension of the Lounge for a Club Function.

Certain dress codes may be imposed for social events and from time to time as required.
