Snooker Club

Snooker3Snooker has been a very popular activity for many years. Playing on two excellent tables (including an original Burrough and Watts) since the 1970s, members enjoy a great camaraderie throughout the whole year, enthusiastically lead by President Robin Longmore.

There are two Teams playing during the winter in the Belfast & District Golf Clubs’ Snooker Leagues/Cups, namely the ‘A’ League (Captained by Colin Barkley) and ‘C’ League (Captained by Mervyn Davidson).

Snooker2Early in 1995, the first century breaks were recorded by Shaun Wells and Duncan Orr (both with 104), however ‘A’ Team players such Shaun Wells and Chris Evans would nowadays regularly record 50 or 100+ breaks! The ‘C’ players and recreational players never achieve these dizzy heights but really enjoy the fun and competition (with generous handicaps of course!)
